Tamil Nadu Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin continued to assert his position on Monday regarding his comment on 'Sanatan Dharma,' stating that he remains resolute in his stance. Speaking with Republic, he emphasized, "I will uphold my perspective."In unwavering commitment to his viewpoint on Sanatan Dharma, the son of Chief Minister MK Stalin reiterated that he would stand by his opinions, regardless of criticism from the BJP. He reiterated his belief that Hinduism should not merely be opposed but should be 'eliminated,' as he argued that Sanatan Dharma is at odds with the concept of social justice.

In response to the comment made by CM MK Stalin's son and the subsequent criticism from BJP leaders, the national spokesperson of the BJP, Shehzad Poonawalla, characterized the Tamil Nadu minister's statement as tantamount to a genocidal call, citing it as part of a consistent pattern of "Sanatana Virodh.

"Countering these allegations of promoting genocide, Udhayanidhi clarified that he had not advocated for such actions during his speech at the writers' conference in Chennai. He stated, "I have not called for any genocide. My words are being misrepresented by them (BJP)." In response to the apparent silence from leaders of the AIADMK, an NDA ally, regarding his remark, Udhayanidhi questioned, "Why aren't NDA ally AIADMK leaders speaking out?"
