India secured a significant victory over arch-rivals Pakistan by a margin of 228 runs. In the first innings, India displayed an impressive batting performance, amassing a total of 356 runs. The top-order batsmen, Virat Kohli (122) and KL Rahul (111), were the standout performers. India enjoyed a strong opening partnership, with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill both achieving their second half-centuries of the tournament.
When it came to bowling, India successfully dismissed Pakistan for a mere 128 runs. Kuldeep Yadav was the star with the ball, claiming five wickets and recording his second five-wicket haul in ODI cricket. This victory marked India's fourth-largest win in terms of runs against any team in ODIs.
India will aim to carry this momentum into their next Super Four game against Sri Lanka, scheduled for September 12th in Colombo.
