OMG 2 Trailer: Akshay Kumar Turns Lord Shiva's Messenger

The new trailer for the movie OMG 2, starring Akshay Kumar, has been unveiled a few days after it received an 'Adults Only' certification. The latest trailer includes fresh footage from the film directed by Amit Rai. Initially scheduled to release on Wednesday, August 1, Akshay decided to delay the trailer launch by a day as a mark of respect following the passing of art director Nitin Desai.

The trailer of OMG 2 begins with Lord Shiva instructing Nandi to send a messenger to aid one of his devotees, clarifying that Akshay's character is not portraying Lord Shiva but rather a messenger of God. The trailer also shows Pankaj Tripathi's character fighting a court case to defend his son.

OMG 2 received its certification after making 27 changes as suggested by the Censor Board. A document accessed by News18 on Tuesday revealed the modifications made in the film as directed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). The changes involved depicting Lord Shiva as a devotee and messenger of God and adding a specific dialogue. Scenes with frontal nudity were replaced with visuals of Naga Sadhus, and a condom billboard was removed. The mention of "Ling" was modified to be referred to as Shivling or Shiv, wherever applicable.

The sequel, OMG 2, is 2 hours and 36 minutes long. It follows the 2012 movie OMG, which also starred Akshay Kumar, but this time Paresh Rawal is not part of the sequel. Instead, Pankaj Tripathi has joined the franchise, and Yami Gautam plays a key role. While it is rumored that the movie revolves around sex education, there has been no official confirmation.

OMG 2 is set to release on August 11, and it will clash with Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 and superstar Rajinikanth's film Jailer. The film's release promises an exciting competition at the box office with these other notable releases.
