Vivek Agnihotri abruptly ended an interview and issued a threat to a journalist after being questioned about the BJP's promotion of "The Kashmir Files."
Vivek Agnihotri, who recently launched a web series titled "The Kashmir Files Unreported" on an OTT platform, gained attention after abruptly ending an interview when questioned about the BJP's promotion of his earlier hit film, "The Kashmir Files." In a viral video, the interviewer mentioned that Vivek had given her an ultimatum.
The video begins with the interviewer raising concerns about whether "The Kashmir Files" portrays anti-Muslim violence. In response, Vivek asserts that he is not answerable for such interpretations and clarifies that he is not affiliated with the BJP, nor did the government promote his film. He also denies any promotion by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During the interview, Vivek's team member intervenes and attempts to halt the conversation. Vivek tells the interviewer that he understands her line of questioning and that he has ample experience in such situations.
On the professional front, Vivek has announced his next film, "The Vaccine War: A True Story," featuring actors like Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, Sapthami Gowda, Girija Oak, and Pallavi Joshi. The film is scheduled to be released in 11 different languages on September 28, 2023.
Vivel also has voiced criticism against Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar, accusing them of undermining India's authentic culture through their public relations efforts and what he considers to be insubstantial film narratives.
